Lefty's DJ Background

As well as being an experienced acoustic performer, Lefty also spent 10 years as a mobile DJ performing at events for the likes of Jamie Carragher, Colleen Rooney, Sheree Murphy and numerous other high profile names from back in the day, as well as many weddings, private parties, pubs & bars

However, when Lefty hit 40 years of age he decided to retire from the DJ scene as he felt there was now a bit of an age gap with himself and the younger crowd, Lefty was 40, they were mainly in their early 20's, and what they were requesting wasn't really Lefty's cup of tea any more

So, rather than just playing 'Chart music' for the sake of it, Lefty hung up his headphones and focused on the acoustic & performing side of things as that crowd was still mainly 30+ years of age and were more responsive to what Lefty was playing....Mainly classic tracks from back in the day

Lefty Freeman's Retro Disco Is Born

After about 10 years 'out of the game' in the DJ world, Lefty came up with the idea of putting on just classic music nights alongside his acoustic performances, which means, Lefty can (If required) play a classic acoustic set for an hour or two to start the night off gently, and then finish off the night with a DJ set playing STRICTLY classic tracks from the 1950's - 1990's, basically, a night that anyone 40+ years of age is going to love
