Lefty's passion for music in general first started at about the age of 8 with a toy Bontempi keyboard & a few Beatles & Elvis records belonging to his mother where he'd knock out 1 finger renditions of 'Love me do' picking out the melody line by ear
He then naturally progressed onto bass guitar in his senior school years before moving onto electric guitar as a teenager & 20 something playing in various local Liverpool bands, eventually arriving at what he would now class as his main instrument, the acoustic guitar
As well as being an experienced performer, Lefty has grown & developed his musical skill-set significantly into many other areas of music & creative arts such as: Production, both video & audio, touring, DJing, songwriting, recording, mixing, live sound & software technology, and even now, he's trying his hand at Artificial Intelligence as a creative tool, and who knows exactly where 'AI' will lead us all to, Terminator II wasn't it?
So, when you book Lefty for your event or bar, you're not just hiring a guy who just sings & plays guitar and that's all he does, you're hiring someone with a wealth of experience & knowledge and a genuine passion for music in general
Over the years Lefty Freeman has managed to drink beer with a Beatle (Probably his proudest musical achievement he says jokingly) and also been credited as a thank you on an album with a man who has played with a Beatle
Also, under an alias, Lefty wrote, recorded & produced a couple of 'viral' online parody songs in 2020 that managed to gain the attention of mainstream TV and very nearly led to a deal with a huge ITV production company called Hat Trick Productions who were responsible for comedy shows such as Father Ted, Harry Enfield's Television Programme & Have I Got News For You, however, due to red tape & bureaucracy, that deal never materialised
In between everything else, he's played poker (and won) with band members of Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, DJ'd at parties for champions league winners, as well as numerous celebrities, footballer's wives, stars of TV's X Factor, but now at 50 years of age, that's all in the past, he says, he's now back doing what he loves best, live performing
